Our teachers constantly assess student’s learning in live lessons by monitoring and giving feedback on answers to polls, private messages sent or thoughts / ideas / questions shared in the public chat. The more a student is able to interact with the teacher within the lesson, the easier it is for the teacher to provide frequent feedback on how that student is doing in that particular subject.

Of course, not all students are comfortable interacting in lessons. So feedback will also be provided based on homework that has been completed and submitted as well as end-of-term assessments that students complete at the end of each half term.

Termly reports give an overall picture of the student’s learning journey with feedback for each subject and will include proposed next steps.

Students are placed into the lessons prepared for their year group. For Year 3 and Year 4, students stay together in the same class and the curriculum is covered on a two-year rolling basis so that all students cover the topics with increasing opportunities to hone on their skills.
Year 5 and 6 students stay together on the same 2-year rolling curriculum but depending on class numbers we might be able to offer a Tortoise and Hare sets which mean students in these year groups can access more challenging content faster if needed.

Teachers are also constantly assessing student work in lessons, based on the answers they provide during live lessons. We will also take into consideration homework submitted and end-of-term assessments before making a recommendation to move a student to a different class set.

During school term time you can register for a FREE trial lesson or a paid trial week.

During the summer holidays we will have the occasional trial lesson so parents can get a taster of our service before school opens again in September.

This is very common and also very easy to do with us. You can subscribe to the Base Plan which includes Maths, English & Science and then you can add additional subjects.

That’s no problem as enrolment with us is open all year round. You will only be charged for the period from when you start learning at pro-rata.

Our curriculum is designed in such a way that each topic will be independent of the previous topic where possible. And that each year group will increase in detail on the same topics. 

For example, Shapes may be covered in certain year groups, but as the year groups increase, the level of detail in which they explore algebra will also increase.

We will also provide your child with recordings of the topics they have missed. 

That is no problem whatsoever! We will just swap over your package, you will receive the respective discounts for adding in more lessons and we will cancel your old plan. Just give us a call or email and we would love to assist.
